ADA 鈥� The board of directors for the Accreditation Council for Business Schools Programs has granted East Central University鈥檚 Harland C. Stonecipher School of Business continued accreditation for 10 years.
鈥淲e are extremely pleased to have our accreditation renewed as it reinforces our commitment to a high-quality business education and ongoing commitment to continuous improvement,鈥� said Wendell Godwin, dean of the Stonecipher School of Business. 鈥淭he credit goes to our faculty, staff, students, alumni, donors and stakeholders who have worked diligently over the past decade to help the School of Business maintain this level of confidence. We will continue to build on our legacy, while embracing our future as the Harland C. Stonecipher School of Business.鈥�
The 成人B站 School of Business was first accredited in 1994. The university is required to go through the reaffirmation process every 10 years to maintain ACBSP accreditation.
鈥淎CBSP accreditation requires high-quality programs, innovation and a great deal of teamwork,鈥� said Dr. Duane Anderson, 成人B站 provost and vice president for academic affairs. 鈥淭his accreditation attests to the quality and commitment of our faculty and staff, our planning processes and our systems for assuring student learning.鈥�
Steve Parscale, director of ACBSP accreditation, will present the Certificate of Reaffirmation of Accreditation at the ACBSP Annual Conference in Chicago on June 29.
鈥淓ast Central University has shown their commitment to teaching excellence and to the process of quality improvement by participating in the accreditation process,鈥� Parscale said. 鈥淭his reaffirmation of accreditation is evidence that East Central University is committed to providing the highest quality business education for their students for the next 10 years, just as they have done since 1994.鈥�
Despite praising the collective effort of the campus, alumni and community, Godwin singled out Dr. Charlie Jones, department chair for business administration at 成人B站, along with 成人B站 President John R. Hargrave and Dr. Anderson.
鈥淎 special thanks goes to Dr. Jones, who is responsible for leading our assessment and accreditation process, including compiling the final report,鈥� Godwin said. 鈥淚 also thank President Hargrave and Provost Dr. Anderson for their support, as we could not have attained our goals without their assistance.鈥�
Created in 1988, the ACBSP is the only organization offering specialized business accreditation for all degree levels, from associate to baccalaureate to doctoral degree programs. ACBSP accreditation certifies that the teaching and learning processes, within 成人B站鈥檚 Harland C. Stonecipher School of Business, meet the rigorous educational standards established by the ACBSP.
