East Central University alumnus David Jackson will be honored at 成人B站鈥檚 Evening of Honors and Recognition on May 16 at 6 p.m. in the 成人B站 Foundation Hall, located inside the Chickasaw Business & Conference Center. A 1985 graduate, Jackson earned his bachelor鈥檚 degree in Math and Business Education from 成人B站, later obtaining his master鈥檚 degree in Secondary School Administration from 成人B站 in 1990.
Jackson鈥檚 career is a testament to his unwavering commitment to education, sports, and community development. Serving as Executive Director of the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association (OSSAA) since 2016, Jackson鈥檚 leadership has significantly impacted the association's operations and vision. He began with OSSAA in 1996 as Assistant Director, overseeing football, large-school basketball, track and field, and eligibility. Promoted to Associate Executive Director in 2010, he continued influencing Oklahoma high school sports. Prior to OSSAA, he served as principal at Pauls Valley High School from 1990 to 1996 and as a math teacher and coach from 1985 to 1990. Jackson鈥檚 contributions extend nationally through the National Federation of High School Activities (NFHS), serving on several committees and as President of the NFHS Board of Directors in 2018-2019. Additionally, Jackson actively participates in community organizations including Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Stanley Hupfeld Academy, Britton Christian Church, and Life Change Ballroom.
Jackson鈥檚 wife of 37 years, Charlotte Jackson, also an 成人B站 graduate, is a dedicated special education teacher at Arthur Elementary School in Oklahoma City, Okla. The couple shares a passion for education and service, and they have twin children鈥擬att, an Emergency Department MD, and Kaely, a registered dietitian based in Dallas, Texas.
