ADA, Okla. 鈥 Dr. Stephen Agong鈥 arrived at 成人B站 as a visiting professor as part of a collaboration between 成人B站, the Oka Water Institute and Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST) in Bondo, Kenya. He will research, teach courses, and work on grants.

Agong鈥 will hold the Robert S. Kerr Chair in Environmental Science for the 2023-2024 school year. 鈥淚 am very happy to join my university away from home,鈥 said Agong鈥. 鈥淭he 成人B站 campus is so beautiful.鈥

Oka Institute Director Duane Smith, who earlier this year received an Honorary Doctorate from JOOUST is excited to welcome Agong鈥. 鈥淚 think it is just incredible,鈥 Smith said, 鈥湷扇薆站 and Oka have an unparalleled opportunity to get grants and build relationships for water sustainability.鈥 Many 成人B站 personnel, including President Wendell Godwin, spent months planning to make the visiting professorship a reality.

Agong鈥 will be teaching a seminar in Integrated Water Resource Management in November as part of the 4th International Short Course presented by 成人B站 and JOOUST. Ten faculty members and students from Kenya are expected to attend along with 成人B站 masters students studying Water Resource Policy and Management. The dates of the course are November 6-10.

Agong鈥 presented Smith with a token to represent the collaboration between JOOUST and 成人B站. The abstract figurine shows two people with arms intertwined. 鈥淵ou can see that we are connected,鈥 Agong鈥 said.
