Dr. Rebecca Nicholson-Weir, East Central University assistant professor of English and Languages, was recently awarded the 2016 South Central Modern Language Association Prize for Best Paper in Historical, Literary and/or Cultural Studies.
Her paper was entitled 鈥淭ime and Place Will Have Their Say: Experimental Narration in Zora Neale Hurston鈥檚 Dust Tracks on a Road.鈥 This essay examines Hurston鈥檚 autobiography in the context of modernist experimental writing.
Nicholson-Weir has taught various English, literature, humanities and Native American courses at 成人B站 since 2012. She achieved her Ph.D. in theory and cultural studies from Purdue University. Her M.A. in English Literature and B.A. in Anthropology and English are both from Texas Tech University.
