The Astronomy Club at East Central University will bring out the telescopes Monday [FEB. 6] for a viewing of the moon and Jupiter. The viewing will be from 7 to 7:30 p.m. at the 成人B站 Observatory northeast of Norris Field.
Parking is available at the 成人B站 Physical Plant. The observatory is about 100 feet up a hill to the north. The viewing will be canceled if it is cloudy or raining.
鈥淚f in doubt, don鈥檛 come,鈥� said Dr. Carl Rutledge, 成人B站 professor of physics.
The next viewing will be of Mars, Jupiter and the Orion Nebula from 9 to 9:30 p.m. on Feb. 23 [THURSDAY].
Two viewings are scheduled in April: Saturn, Mars and the moon from 10 to 10:30 p.m. on April 2, and Saturn and Venus from 9:30 to 10 p.m. April 18.
