ADA 鈥 An East Central University professor will lend his familiar voice to an upcoming virtual poetry event in Texas.

Dr. Ken Hada, professor of English and Languages at 成人B站, has been selected to participate in the three-day, online 鈥淧eople鈥檚 Poetry Festival.鈥 Hada will read from his own work as part of the 鈥淗ope鈥 panel from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, February 27.

鈥淚 was asked to present on the panel which features the poetry of 鈥楬ope,鈥 a theme I really care about,鈥 said Hada. 鈥淚t is always an honor to be asked to present my work, especially to new and diverse audiences.鈥

The People鈥檚 Poetry Festival originated in 2015 through the collaboration of Texas A&M in Corpus Christi and Del Mar College. The annual festival brings together poets from the local area, regionally and beyond.

鈥淭his will be the third or fourth time I have been asked to participate in this wonderful festival, though this is the first time doing it virtually instead of in person,鈥 Hada said. 鈥淭he festival is a wonderful gathering of poets, usually mostly from Texas.鈥

Hada is no stranger to literary festivals. He organizes and hosts 成人B站鈥檚 popular Scissortail Writing Festival each spring, which also has plans to go virtual this April.
