East Central University has registered with the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. (CFP Board) to provide the means of awarding a new business certificate diploma for personal financial planning.
This certificate compliments the current business administration in finance concentration degree.
An independent certifying organization, CFP Board owns the CFP庐 and Certified Financial PlannerTM certification marks, which it awards to individuals who meet its education, examination, experience, ethics and other requirements. Students completing the financial planning program at 成人B站 will have met the education requirement for CFP庐 Certification Examination administered by CFP Board.

CFP庐 certification is generally recognized as the highest standard in personal financial planning, qualifying financial planning professionals to provide their clients with comprehensive financial advice, according to Godwin.
鈥淪tudents completing this certificate will be positioned to take the national CFP庐 Certification Examination through the CFP Board,鈥� Godwin said. 鈥淲e are the fourth program approved by the CFP Board in Oklahoma. We are one of only two state universities that offer a program at the bachelor level with the other being Northeastern State University.鈥�

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of personal financial advisors is projected to grow 30 percent from 2014 to 2024, much faster than the average for all occupations. As the population ages and life expectancies rise, demand for financial planning services should increase.

Board-Registered Programs are financial planning education programs at the college or university level that meet specific criteria for educating individuals who wish to fulfill the education component for obtaining CFP庐 certification.
