A generous donation from the estate of Margaret Scott will benefit three departments at East Central University.

Nearly 3,000 pieces and seven closets full of designer clothing and pairs of shoes, with a retail value of anywhere from $500,000 to $1 million, were donated to 成人B站鈥檚 Family and Consumer Science, Business and Drama Departments.

鈥淲e were blown away. We鈥檝e never had a donation that was this excessive,鈥 said Jan Long, instructor in 成人B站鈥檚 Family and Consumer Science Department. 鈥淚t is an amazing gift that will benefit students. It gives us some high quality pieces for our department to show.鈥

Ms. Scott resided in Seminole until her death in 2011.

鈥淎 friend of mine, a retail intermediate buyer, told me about this estate sale and to go over and see what they had,鈥 Long said. 鈥淭he executor of the estate (Tim Tate) told me I could have some pieces, but I would have to take it all.鈥

Tate鈥檚 son, Tyler, is a student in 成人B站鈥檚 Harland C. Stonecipher School of Business.

While many of the pieces were divided among the three departments, a portion of clothing was donated to the Chickasaw ReUse Center and will be given away. Students from the 成人B站 Upward Bound Program, served as volunteers to load up the clothing for the Chickasaw Nation.
