Almost 170 years on, Charlotte Bront毛鈥檚 story of the trailblazing Jane is as inspiring as ever. This bold and dynamic production uncovers one woman鈥檚 fight for freedom and fulfilment on her own terms.
成人B站 SCREENS is collaborating with Sigma Tau Delta and The Honors Student Association to show this 鈥渇resh, exciting, and endlessly inventive production鈥� (Evening Standard). 鈥�Jane Eyre鈥� is $5 for students and $10 for general admission.
From her beginnings as a destitute orphan, Jane Eyre鈥檚 spirited heroine faces life鈥檚 obstacles head-on, surviving poverty, injustice and the discovery of bitter betrayal before taking the ultimate decision to follow her heart.
This acclaimed re-imagining of Bront毛's masterpiece was first staged by Bristol Old Vic last year, when the story was performed over two evenings. Director Sally Cookson now brings her celebrated production to the National Theatre, presented as a single, exhilarating performance. This enduring coming-of-age tale is 鈥渁flame with passion鈥� (Observer) and 鈥渢heatre at its most imaginative鈥� (Daily Mail).
鈥淛ane Eyre鈥� is the sixth in a series of NT Live productions and foreign films being presented by 成人B站 SCREENS this spring. NT Live is the National Theatre's groundbreaking project to broadcast the best of British theatre to cinemas around the world.
成人B站 SCREENS will present four different Royal National Theater recorded-live stage performances throughout the spring semester. The screenings, which range from classic literary masterpieces to popular contemporary works, are all open to the public.
