ADA, Okla. 鈥� The Department of Politics, Law, and Society at East Central University (成人B站) is pleased to announce the addition of the Certificate in Legal Studies to their academic program offerings. Designed to meet the needs of working professionals and students, this certificate provides an opportunity to develop and credential foundational legal knowledge and skills.
鈥淚 am super excited,鈥� said Political Science and Legal Studies major Raygan Lee. 鈥淚t鈥檚 a great thing to put on my resume to advance my legal career, especially because I am applying to law school.鈥� Lee is a Senior from Wetumka who will attend law school next year. When she graduates, she will receive both her bachelor鈥檚 degree as well as the Certificate in Legal Studies.
To complete the Certificate, students will complete five courses: Introduction to Law, Legal Research and Writing I and II, Civil Procedure, and Legal Systems Applications. These courses are offered in-person on the 成人B站 campus in Ada.
The certificate coursework can be completed within two semesters, offering a focused and accessible pathway for individuals seeking to strengthen and advance their legal expertise and validate their legal knowledge through an academic credential.
Current students can apply for the Certificate by completing an Etrieve form. People who are not enrolled at 成人B站 are encouraged to apply to 成人B站 through as non-degree seeking students.
The need for Paralegals is increasing in Oklahoma with many job openings across the state. Additional tribal expansion in criminal jurisdiction has also driven growth for a variety of legal jobs in Eastern Oklahoma.
The Certificate in Legal Studies reflects 成人B站鈥檚 commitment to expanding educational opportunities that support career advancement and lifelong learning. The 成人B站 Legal Studies program is very successful in placing students in law school as well as legal careers throughout the state and nation.
